Who Are We
I started this brand like many others because I hated running out of slugs and nobody open till Monday or we ran out of that size type situations. But around the same time I bought my first press the “Big Horn”, I had an idea. My mother who was living with me, was in a real fight with cancer. Having retired from the Las Vegas Police Department, my mom was not a stranger to guns and ammo, but never air guns or slugs. Even with that being the case I thought this would be a good way to keep her mind occupied and give her something, possibly something to help her feel like she wasn’t dying. I started the company and mom is a founder and VP.
She lived just long enough to see how in 4 weeks I had all the licenses, the machines, the bills to go with that stuff, but then she got to see us get approved to sell on Walmart.com, she got to see the website take shape, she got to see her new business Amex show up. She never got to use it and she passed away just weeks ago, one day before her 75th birthday.
She will always be the Vice President of Arizona Slug Co and her legacy and her willingness to help start this business and her courage to fight for every day she got is why AZ Slug Co exists and will continue to try to be the best we can be, make the best slugs we can, stay grateful for everything we have and strive to make momma proud!
